Sommer in the Pitztal

Enjoy in summer and autumn our beautiful Tyrolean mountains, hike on well-marked hiking trails to our Pitztal pastures and peaks. Climb with our guides on the most beautiful peaks of the Alps, take a tour through the challenging climbing and high ropes course or mountain bike on the Pitztal Trial and enjoy the sunshine on our lawn, sun terrace or barbecue terrace with barbecue area.

With the Glacier Park Card you can use the mountain lifts and the glacier road in the Pitztal, Kaunertal and Imst flexibly for 3, 5 or 10 days! The ideal supplement to the Pitztal Environment Ticket or Leisure Pass, so that you can fully enjoy the summer in the Pitztal mountains!

Alpine Coaster

The Alpine Coaster in Hoch-Imst is more than just a summer toboggan run: the longest Alpine rollercoaster in the world surprises with steep bends, fun waves and spectacular jumps. Pure adrenalin! If that’s not a worthwhile destination! For your culinary well-being, the U-Alm provides you with delicious food at the Alpine Coaster mountain station.

94 metre bungy jump from the Benni Raich Bridge in Arzl in the Pitztal Valley:
Jump from the 94 metre high Benni Raich Bridge, the highest pedestrian bridge in Austria, and challenge yourself. Do you have the nerve? Or take a walk across the footbridge to the rustic café/restaurant Bungy Stüberl

Go-kart racing, paintball, 3D minigolf

The Motorsport Arena Tirol offers racing excitement for young and old. There is no age limit for driving the go-karts. However, a minimum height of 150 cm is required!
The 3D mini golf course offers a variety of different challenges with 18 courses in a cool 3D environment, each with its own charm.
Watch out, friends of the colourful battle! Our paintball battlefield, right next to the Motorsport Arena, is ready-to-rumble and at the disposal of your brave fighting force. Enjoy the merciless paintball fun.

White water sports and high ropes

Rafting and canyoning are no longer just trendy sports or fads. They are each a very special way of experiencing nature. Rafting emphasises the group experience and the wildness of the local streams. Canyoning allows you to get to know our gorges from “top to bottom” by sliding, abseiling, climbing etc.
The forest rope park (high ropes course) is ideal for individuals, families, groups, clubs, companies and school groups. A small children’s playground awaits our younger guests.

Starkenberg Castle beer festival, Tarrenz

On a display area of over 4,000 square metres, you will not only learn interesting facts about the history of the art of brewing at Starkenberg Castle, but also about the health-promoting effects of barley juice. Stroll through the medieval vaults, corridors and rooms in the footsteps of the Starkenberg brewing tradition! Group tour incl. beer tasting and castle parlour.

Capricorn Centre

The Tyrolean Ibex Centre is dedicated to the eventful history of the relationship between man, nature and culture in the Pitztal.
It sees itself as a service centre for environmental education, as a place to present the culture of remembrance and as a meeting place for curious people. We communicate all these offers in a visitor-friendly and realistic way.

ZirbenCart Downhill

The starting point for the ZirbenCart route is at the top station of the Hochzeiger 2.5 eight-seater chairlift at 2,500 metres. The starting point can be reached quickly and easily with the gondola lift and the Hochzeiger 2.5 eight-seater chairlift. Over a length of around 4.0 kilometres, you can experience an adventurous ride on three wheels and enjoy a magnificent mountain panorama all the way to the middle station.

Hochzeiger mountain railways

From the leisurely family hike to the breathtaking summit experience, the Hochzeiger hiking area offers countless opportunities for a wonderful day on the mountain. Especially the Zirbenpark with its child-friendly adventure stations offers an extraordinary nature experience with the whole family. From mid-June to mid-October, the Hochzeiger Gondola lift takes you to lofty heights, and those who want to go further up take the Sechzeiger chairlift.

Rifflsee­bahn

Beautifully situated is the Rifflsee on over 2,200 m, which you can walk around on a stroll suitable for pushchairs. A special highlight is a raft trip on Austria’s highest mountain lake. The Rifflseebahn is open in summer from mid-June to mid-October.

Glacier Express

A special highlight in summer is a guided glacier hike on the Pitztal Glacier or a visit to Tyrol’s highest-altitude café at 3,440 m above sea level. Marvel at the breathtaking panorama of the more than fifty-three thousand meter peaks surrounding the Pitztal Glacier.

Imst mountain railways

The family-friendly hiking area is open from early May to late October and offers two double chair lifts. Fine hikes lead to rustic huts such as the Untermarkter Alm, the Latschenhütte and the Muttekopfhütte. With the Alpine Coaster, the longest roller coaster in the Alps, you can go down to the valley station.
